Learn to Sail
RYC provides year round opportunities to learn about the sport of sailing.
First Sail
Have you never sailed before and want to see how much fun it is? The First Sailing program is based on US Sailing's First Sail Program. If you participate in this program new sailors will receive a hands-on experience, information about Raritan Bay and RYC, and a passion for sailing. American Sailing Association Certificates
RYC is an American Sailing Association training center. We offer ASA101, ASA103, and ASA111 courses during the sailing season. Whether you have always wanted to learn to sail, are looking to charter a boat, or seeking to expand your sailing resume, enrollment in any of our certification programs will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need. Seminars
Throughout the season the RYC Education Committee puts together informative sessions about various topics about the sport of sailing, local history, and the Raritan Bay environment.
Interested in joining one of the sessions? Check out the Club Calendar or follow our social media pages for announcements!
Over the past few years, we have had multiple sessions to prep sailors for offshore sailing and weather.
