About our fleet

Our in water assets include over 215 moorings.  Our boats range in size from 12 to 55 feet, including motor cruisers, cruising sailboats, rowing shells, deep draft racing sailboats, and work boats.

The mooring field is defined by agreement with the US Coast Guard and the City of Perth Amboy and runs from the Perth Amboy Marina on the north, to a point south of the rockpile "8", west to a line parallel and east of the train bridge, and in to shore.  It is defined as Special Anchorage 110.1, 110.60 as defined in Note A on Chart #12332.  Raritan Yacht Club manages the anchorage area by agreement with the City of Perth Amboy and permits from the NJ State Department of Environmental Protection.

How the fleet is organized - to make mooring locations easier to locate, each mooring is assigned a point of a grid of rows and columns.  The mooring numbers in the RYC field represent the latitude and longitude of each mooring.  Click here to download the Mooring Number Conversion Table & examples. Follow the instructions to determine exact coordinates that can be plugged into your GPS.
