Bring an item new, handmade or slightly used to be auctioned off. All proceeds go to the Ladies Auxiliary. You can also donate an item if you cannot attend. Items can be left in the Ladies Auxiliary room prior to Nov. 20th. All donations appreciated.

| | Change to Galley Minimum Dates - by Raritan Yacht Club | | |
| | Attention Members:
We will be changing the galley minimum end dates to the 15th of the month for those members whose last names begin with A – L, effective for July 2018. For those affected the date range for the minimums will be from the 16th of one month to the 15th of the next month. Other clubs have successfully implemented this practice, so we don’t anticipate any procedural issues moving forward.
The goal is to spread out the use of the galley & bar throughout the entire month. Historically, the club experiences overwhelming volume at the end of the month which has resulted in long wait times, inconsistence food quality, over worked staff and disappointed and/or angry members. This change should enable the galley & bar to operate more efficiently.
There will be no alteration to the billing cycles as everyone will receive an invoice at the close of the month as usual, payable on receipt; the only change is the end date for the galley minimum for those last names beginning with A – L.

| | The AHA’s BLS Course provides the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. This class will be held on March 31, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Reflecting science and education in the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC, this course teaches basic life support skills with a focus on high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction.
After successfully completing the BLS Course, students should be able to
• Describe the importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on survival
• Describe all the steps of the Chain of Survival
• Apply the BLS concepts of the Chain of Survival
• Recognize the signs of someone needing CPR
• Perform high-quality CPR for an adult
• Describe the importance of early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
Cost is $35 per person for new students, $15 per person for returning student.
Lunch will be available in the galley for an additional cost. | | |
