By agreement with the USCG, the City of Perth Amboy, and the NJ DEP, Raritan Yacht Club administers the anchorage defined as Special Anchorage 110.1, 110.60   Chart #12332.  The area is bounded to the north by the eastern end of the entrance channel of the Perth Amboy Marina. From there the boundary continues to a point south of rock pile "8", west to a line parallel and east of the Raritan River Rail bridge, then north to the shore line.

Guest Moorings  Accommodations are available for overnighters and day-trippers as well as transient yachts requiring extended stay.  Contact RYC Launch Operator on VHF Channel 9 or call (732) 826 - 9837 to check for vacancies. Guest moorings are generally readily available weekdays and off peak weekends.  Extended Stay reservations can be arranged by contacting the Fleet Captain as described below.

Guest Mooring Fees:

    • Short Stay  (less than overnight)  -$20
    • Over Night- $35/night
    • Orcha Protection Area Overnight $150/night
    • Three or more nights  -  $25/night-($75 minimum)
    • Holiday  & Regatta weekends $50/Night
    • KYC, AHYC, RCYC member boats -No Charge

Member Moorings

Membership has its privileges and one of the many privileges RYC members enjoy is an assigned mooring for their personal use.  Specifics regarding member moorings can be found by clicking here.

Locate a mooring

Moorings are set on a LAT/LONG grid Click here to download the Mooring Number Conversion Table & examples. Follow the instructions to determine the GPS coordinates of your mooring.  Guests arriving in the area during the hours of Launch operations please contact the Launch Operator on VHF Channel 9 for assistance in locating guest mooring

The mooring field and water assets of the club are managed by the Fleet Captain. This includes the management of all in-water storage, monitoring of the fleet for compliance to the mooring rules and insurance regulations and member mooring assignments/reassignments.
