First Sail

Never sailed, and not sure where to start??  Revisiting our wonderful sport?  Jump into sailing with RYC's First Sail program!

First Sail is based on the critically acclaimed US Sailing's First Sail Program.  Whether new to the sport or in need of a refresher, sailors who participate in this program will receive a hands on experience, and a taste of the enjoyment Raritan Yacht Club has to offer.  Be warned; a passion for sailing is  generally the outcome.  First Sail  sessions are typically scheduled for weekdays and conducted  on our fleet of Colgate 26s; a boat designed as platform for teaching.

Starting in our home our home waters at Raritan Yacht Club,  First Sail  pairs student(s) with a senior sailing instructor for a three hour tour of  Raritan Bay.   Once safely under way, students will receive hands-on experience steering and the art of sail trim. Our First Sail program is a great way to experience the joy of sailing and the fun to be had at  RYC. 

Haven't sailed in a while?  The First Sail   experience is a great refresher!
